Calgary police searching for man involved in violent convenience store robberies

Calgary police are looking for a man responsible for assaulting clerks in several convenience store robberies.

In all four incidents, the suspect allegedly walked into the store with a weapon, jumped the counter and demanded the clerk open the cash register before forcing the victim to lay on the ground.

After stealing the items, police says the suspect stomped on the clerk’s head or neck area multiple times before fleeing the scene.

The first incident happened on Monday, July 24, 2017 at approximately 4:25 a.m. at the Mac’s Convenience located at 2905 14 St. S.W.

The second, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at about 3:30 a.m. at the 7 Eleven, 146-920 36 St. N.E.

The third, Wednesday December 6, 2017 at approximately 3:35 a.m. at the Mac’s Convenience Store, 2905 14 St. S.W.

The most recent one occurred on Sunday, January 7 at about 10:50 p.m. at the Mac’s Convenience Store, 4100 Marlborough Dr. N.E.

All clerks involved suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 20 to 35 years old, approximately 5’10” to 6′ tall with a slim build.
