About Ian

Ian started his media career in the early 2000s with his first main job at the Calgary Sun. He worked in the sports department for 11 years and covered a wide range of topics, including several Grey Cups as the primary Stampeders beat writer. He transitioned to TV in 2013 with CityTV as a producer on Breakfast Television. He joined the team at then-660 NEWS in 2018 in a part-time role. A graduate of SAIT's journalism program, Ian has dabbled in every aspect of media, whether that's writing, reporting, editing, producing, hosting, and announcing. He's worked or attended 14 Grey Cups as his focus and love was the CFL after growing up in Saskatchewan. When he's not doing radio, he works as a massage therapist. In his spare time, Ian is with his two daughters, hitting the bike trail, attending rock shows, or singing at the local karaoke bar. You can hear Ian on CityNews 660 doing traffic and weather.
